In the United States, the school a child attends is determined by where their family can afford to live. School quality — the depth of curriculum, teacher experience, available resources — is directly tied to the economic condition of the surrounding neighborhood.
A child born into a low-income community doesn't choose their school. They inherit it. And with it, they inherit the limitations of an educational environment that was never designed to unlock their full potential.
This is not a problem caused by the children. It should not be paid for by the children.
"Children don't choose where they're born. They shouldn't pay for it."
— Han Q., Founder & CEO, Lumora AI
The cycle is structural. It repeats across generations — until something breaks it.
The name Lumora combines light and new beginnings — the belief that AI can be the great equalizer in education, shining the same light of opportunity on every child regardless of circumstance.

Lumora AI was founded by entrepreneurs who believe technology can — and should — be a force for equity in education.
Lumora AI was founded in 2026 by Han Q., a technology and business entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience building companies across technology, education, and social impact sectors. After years of direct observation — visiting rural communities across the United States — Han saw firsthand how a child's educational opportunity is determined by the economic circumstances of their birth.
Lumora AI is the culmination of that conviction: a company that combines state-of-the-art artificial intelligence with the belief that every child deserves the same quality of education historically available only to the privileged few.
30+ years of entrepreneurship across technology, business, and philanthropy. Founded Lumora AI to bring world-class education to every child.

We build on data, research, and real user insights — not assumptions.
Children's data is sacred. We will never sell it, share it, or misuse it.
We measure success by student outcomes — not engagement metrics or subscriptions.
